1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) form a binding agreement between you (“you,” “your”) and Bazi Candle (“Bazi Candle,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). By accessing bazicandle.com, creating an order, or receiving a report from us, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, each of which is incorporated by reference. If you do not agree, you must not use the site.

You must be at least sixteen (16) years of age, or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction if higher, to place an order. Placing an order on behalf of a third party is permitted only with the express consent of that third party; you represent and warrant that you have obtained such consent prior to submitting their birth information.

2. Nature of the Service

Bazi Candle produces interpretive readings derived from the traditional Chinese Four Pillars of Destiny system (八字, “Bazi”). Reports combine deterministic calendar computation (Sixty Jiazi cycle, true solar time correction) with AI-generated narrative synthesis. The resulting document is delivered as a downloadable PDF and an on-site HTML view.

Bazi Candle readings are produced and sold strictly for purposes of self-reflection, cultural and philosophical exploration, and entertainment. They are not, and are not offered as, a substitute for qualified professional advice — whether medical, psychological, psychiatric, legal, tax, financial, investment, insurance, relationship, parenting, or any other domain requiring licensed judgment. Any decision you take based on a reading is your own and solely your responsibility. If you are experiencing a medical or mental-health crisis, please contact a licensed professional or local emergency services immediately.

3. Accuracy of Birth Information

The precision of a Bazi reading depends on the accuracy of the birth data you provide: date, local clock time, and place of birth. We correct the clock time to true solar time based on the longitude of the birth location. We do not verify your inputs. If the data you provide is incorrect or approximate, the resulting chart and interpretation will reflect those inputs and may differ from a reading based on the true birth moment. You accept this risk when you submit your information.

4. Orders, Pricing, and Payment

Prices are shown in United States dollars (USD) unless otherwise indicated. Payment is processed by our payment provider, Creem, which receives card or wallet details directly from you; Bazi Candle does not store full card numbers. By completing a checkout you authorize Creem to charge the disclosed amount and authorize Bazi Candle to fulfill the corresponding order.

All purchases are single, one-time transactions unless the product description explicitly indicates a subscription or recurring plan. In the case of recurring plans, you may cancel through the self-service link in your receipt email at any time.

5. Delivery

Digital reports are generated within approximately three (3) to thirty (30) minutes of a successful payment and are delivered to the email address supplied during checkout, as well as through a signed download link hosted on bazicandle.com. Delivery times are indicative and may be extended during periods of high load or third-party service outages (for example, the AI model provider). In the unlikely event of a delivery failure exceeding seven (7) days, you are entitled to a full refund.

6. Refund Policy

Because reports are digital, personalized, and delivered rapidly, the following rules apply:

  • If your report has not been delivered within seven (7) days of payment, you may request a full refund.
  • If the delivered report contains material factual errors caused by our system (for example, an incorrect pillar computation traceable to a software defect, not to input error), we will correct it at no cost, and if we cannot correct it within seven (7) days of the report you may request a full refund.
  • Once a correct report has been delivered, that report is final and non-refundable. We do not offer satisfaction-based refunds on delivered reports.
  • Physical upsell items (for example, bracelets) follow the separate terms displayed at checkout for those items.

Refund requests must be sent to support@bazicandle.com with your order identifier. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment instrument within ten (10) business days.

7. Intellectual Property

The structure, prompts, curated source material, branding, user interface, and software that generate Bazi Candle readings are the exclusive property of Bazi Candle and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual-property laws. You may not copy, scrape, reverse-engineer, or redistribute the service or its underlying methodology, whether in whole or in part.

The narrative content of the specific report you purchase — the text interpreting your Four Pillars — is licensed to you for your personal, non-commercial use. You may read, print, store, and share your report with friends, family, or professionals you choose to consult, but you may not resell it or republish it publicly as your own work.

8. User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Submit birth information for another living person without that person’s consent;
  • Submit false, misleading, or stolen payment or identity information;
  • Use the service to harass, defame, threaten, or otherwise harm any person;
  • Scrape, crawl, or automate access to the site beyond normal browser use;
  • Attempt to circumvent rate limits, paywalls, bot-protection, or other technical safeguards.

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, BAZI CANDLE DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ANY WARRANTIES ARISING FROM COURSE OF DEALING OR USAGE OF TRADE. BAZI CANDLE DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE READINGS ARE ACCURATE, PREDICTIVE, PROPHETIC, OR SUITABLE FOR ANY DECISION. BAZI READINGS ARE INTERPRETIVE AND CULTURAL.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE AGGREGATE LIABILITY OF BAZI CANDLE AND ITS AFFILIATES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THIS AGREEMENT OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS ACTUALLY PAID BY YOU TO BAZI CANDLE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM. IN NO EVENT SHALL BAZI CANDLE BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION LOST PROFITS, LOST OPPORTUNITY, OR EMOTIONAL DISTRESS, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of certain damages; in those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.

11. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Bazi Candle, its affiliates, officers, employees, and contractors from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to (a) your violation of these Terms, (b) your violation of any law or third-party right, or (c) any birth data you submitted about a third party without that party’s consent.

12. Arbitration and Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service shall be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. The seat of the arbitration shall be Wilmington, Delaware. The arbitration shall be conducted in English. You and Bazi Candle each waive the right to a trial by jury and the right to participate in a class action, to the extent permitted by law. Notwithstanding the foregoing, either party may bring an individual action in small-claims court for disputes within its jurisdiction.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the current version. Material changes will be announced on the homepage at least seven (7) days before taking effect. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
